Dial-up Internet Connections

Dial-up is still an important part of our business and we will continue to work hard to support our customers as we always have.  Though rare, now with broadband available, we still are adding new dial-up customers.

For all existing customers we continue to take personal checks, money orders and either Visa or MasterCards for payment on a monthly or annual payment.


New customers only have the option of Visa or MasterCard for monthly payments and may use personal checks and money orders for annual payments.  This move is an effort to maintain or lower costs and not raise our prices.   

We use Global Pops as a wholesale supplier of dial-up ports and they have operations all over North America.  GemLink can accept customers anywhere in Global Pops area of coverage, with a local number in almost any location.  The button below links to a page with numbers in the top half for Virginia customers, and a section for the rest of North America.  Always check the recommended number for your local telephone company’s plan you are enrolled in.

Dial-up was good while it lasted ...

At it’s peak dial-up Internet connections was a great business providing good jobs for a number of people, but like all good things ... it has been replaced by something newer & better.  Broadband, both DSL, wireless and satellite are now the way.

We still provide dial-up Internet connections (any where in the United States) but the business has declined by about 90% in the past eight years.  However, Link37 will continue to provide dial-up services for the foreseeable future.


The web-site business has had it’s ups and downs but is going great at this time; please checkout what we can do for you and your business (or personal) web-site by the unique systems integration approach we use to connect you with your customers and markets via your web-site and it’s connectivity to Facebook, YouTube, Picasa, Google Apps Partnerships, Gmail and more.

From time to time you may experience problems getting connected to the Internet.  Rarely is there a problem with the GemLink network or equipment.  After nearly 14 years of operation, and with highly redundant hardware, software and networks we seldom have any downtime.  Our last time out of service was over five years ago, in 2006.

BUT … you may have a problem and we have a page you can print out, keep close to your computer.  When there is a problem you should just follow the instructions and determine what to do next.
