GemLink began creating web-sites in mid-1996 and by late 1998 had over 200 hosted web-sites. We were the leader in introducing a “streaming radio station” ; it played Country-Western music. The then popular Dale Watson from southwest Texas was one of our first; we added several more and established the web-domain and site of RealCountry.com
Later the main business of dial-up Internet become nearly too much to handle and the web business was “spun off” into a separate company and the operation was no longer GemLink’s to be concerned with.
As the dial-up business continued successfully for many years, our web design, creation and hosting was made available to only a very few customers.

It was during this period we developed and tested many of the techniques we use today. Those early systems grew into the methodology we now use for the web-sites we design, create & host once again.
Dial-up Internet has been declining since mid-2004 when local telephone companies began focusing on delivering high-speed Internet to rural areas via DSL circuits.
GemLink will continue to provide dial-up Internet services but we are putting more emphasis on the renewed web site design, creation & hosting.

Our area of expertise is on web sites where our clients post updates to their web-site. Whether the updates are images, photos, charts or detailed reports generated from a database, we are prepared to make it easy to use, while providing quality results.
Since the mid-1880s GemLink’s predecessor company was involved in high-tech application development of database systems, systems integration and network design/build-out. Early on in the growth of the intra-nets we designed and developed databases in both the Datapoint Distributed Environment and then later used Microsoft’s SQL Database services.
